Thunderbolts* star Lewis Pullman recently addressed the debate surrounding the alleged use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the poster.

When the first poster for the MCU film was released, some people online took notice of Bob's hands as it seemingly looked like he had six fingers and it made them concerned that AI was used to create the artwork.

Fans were quick to debunk the claims as they explained that Bob still has five fingers if you look closely at the poster and the cropping only made the impression that it had an unusual look.

Lewis Pullman Weighs in on Thunderbolts* Poster Debate

In a recent interview, Pullman was asked to weigh in on the debate regarding his character's fingers and the alleged AI use in the Thunderbolts* poster.

He said that he is aware of the debate online and he found the conversation surrounding his fingers to be amusing.

"I’ve heard about the six-finger thing. But if you look closely, there’s actually no mistakes going on," the actor said.

"I actually spent some time because I was like, 'Did they give me a sixth finger?' But they didn’t. It’s just cropped at the right point where it looks like there’s an extra tip happening or something. But that’s about it. I love that."

With fans already debunking the AI concerns and Pullman confirming that he doesn't have an extra finger, this should ease down the concerns about the poster's alleged AI use as we have an assurance that such a tool was not used.

After all, if you look at the poster in its entirety, nothing indicates that an AI-generated tool was used to create the artwork and you can still feel its "hand-made" quality with talented human artists involved in the creation.

It is exciting what other promotional materials will they release in the coming months leading up to its release and fans won't likely expect any AI-generated artwork.

Thunderbolts* is set to arrive in theaters on May 2, 2025.
