Marvel's Thunderbolts Adds The Bear Actress in Top Secret Role

One of the MCU films that are currently in the works is the upcoming team-up film Thunderbolts where we will see the characters from past films and TV shows in the franchise work together in a mission. As the project is heading to production this year, we've also been hearing some updates about its development.

Now, another cast member has been recruited to its already-large ensemble as Deadline has confirmed that The Bear star Ayo Edebiri is joining the cast of Thunderbolts. As usual, the details regarding her role are being kept under wraps as it is currently top secret.

The cast already includes Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Jake Schreier is helming the film while Black Widow's Eric Pearson penned the screenplay.

The actress is known for her acclaimed role as Sydney Adamu in the hit FX/Hulu series The Bear and voices Missy Foreman-Greenwald on the Netflix animated series Big Mouth. She also wrote for FX's What We Do in the Shadows and Apple TV+'s Dickinson, which she also appeared in.

It's always exciting when a talented actress like Edebiri is joining the cast of an MCU film. While the details regarding her role are under wraps, it sounds like she will be pivotal in the story of the film. This is also great for Edebiri whose career is currently on the rise and she will certainly get global recognition for this.

It also poses the question of whether she will play a character who is on the good or bad side. Obviously, we will never know the answer until we get confirmation from the people involved in the film. Nevertheless, seeing her get cast here should excite fans.
