We all know for a fact that Thor: Love and Thunder will mark the triumphant return of Natalie Portman to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the God of Thunder's female counterpart. The film will obviously be taking a page out of the Mighty Thor comics where Jane Foster wields the Mjolnir but it still remains a mystery how she gains possession of the Asgardian weapon.
If you may recall, Hela destroyed the hammer in Thor: Ragnarok and while Odinson himself would be able to "borrow" the same Mjolnir from 2013 in Avengers: Endgame, Captain America would later return all of the items they retrieved, including the hammer to their respective timelines. Now, the question on everyone's mind is how does Jane become the worthy one in Love and Thunder?
A lot of people are under the impression that Jane will be wielding a brand new Mjolnir but new merch items for the upcoming Thorquel have seemingly spoiled how Foster gains possession of the hammer. Toy manufacturer Bandai just revealed promotional images for their upcoming S.H. Figuarts line featuring Thor and Jane and if you'll pay close attention to the weapon Foster is holding, it looks like the exact same Mjolnir Hela destroyed with the pieces put back together.

Of course, Jane wielding the exact same Mjolnir that was destroyed by Hela makes the most logical sense and I'm glad that's the plot Taika Waititi is going for. It also makes her transition to becoming Thor more significant because somehow, she shares a connection to the hammer previously wielded by her former flame.
