What is The Worst of Evil About?
The Worst of Evil is a crime-action drama set in the 1990s in Seoul. The show follows an undercover police officer tasked to bring down a major drug operation from Gangnam.
Ji Chang-wook stars as the lead, Park Jun-mo, the undercover police officer who is looking for the source of the Gangnam Crystal. As an undercover police officer, he infiltrates the drug operation from within.
While the story follows his foray into the Gangnam Union gang, it also explores his personal struggles at home. More importantly, he has difficulty getting his bosses to trust him just because he is the son of a drug addict.
Meanwhile, his wife is a successful police officer who climbs up the ranks. Now that he has a shot at redemption, the pressure is on him to succeed in taking down the powerful drug gang of Gangnam.
Who is the Villain in The Worst of Evil?
Jun-mo discovers that the drug cartel's boss is none other than Wi Ha-joon (played by Jung Gi-cheul), a nightclub DJ who transforms into a gangster.
It's also convenient for Jun-mo to hate Ha-joon since he was his wife's first love in high school.
Viewers will get to see two of South Korea's most sought-after actors get down and dirty in the fight scenes.

Is The Worst of Evil Worth Watching?
If you're looking for an original crime-action story, The Worst of Evil is not completely one. But it does a really good job in the cinematic treatment and the development of the characters.
Not to mention, the action scenes of the Kdrama are worth checking out. The two main characters have a domineering presence to them that makes the show irresistible.
