In some publications, Byeong-kyu's name is spelled as Byung-gyu. His character's name in The Uncanny Counter is also often spelled as So Mun.

Byeong-kyu plays the lead character in the series. Aside from being the "maknae" (meaning: youngest) Counter, he is also the most powerful.

He is also an unconventional Counter since he wasn't in a coma when he became a Counter. His powers include telekinesis, super speed, and the ability to summon the Territory.

Aside from The Uncanny Counter, Byeong-kyu starred in Sky Castle, Hot Stove League, and Who Are You: School 2015.

Kim Se-jeong stars as the darling in the group of Counters, Do Ha-na. Her character is a fearless woman who knows how to pack a punch. She has the ability to read memories and even step into them (with caution).

Out of the Counters, Ha-na is able to know when an evil spirit has stepped into a Territory.

Se-jeong's serious expression in The Uncanny Counter contradicts her other roles. She is known for her cute character in KBS' School, Ra Eun-ho. You can check out her famous scene from the show here:

Her other shows include Business Proposal, The Sound of Your Heart, and Today's Webtoon.

Yoo Jun-sang as Ga Mo-tack

Yoo Jun-sang is another actor in the series who reprised his role from the first season. The veteran actor plays the role of Ga Mo-tack/Ga Mo-tak, a cop who is the longest-running Counter in the group.

Despite his tough exterior, Mo-tak is actually a softie with superhuman strength.

You may have seen him from Alchemy of Souls, The Penthouse 2, and Marry Me.

Yeom Hye-ran as Chu Mae-ok

Another veteran actress that stars in The Uncanny Counter is Yeom Hye-ran. You may recognize her as one of the Ajummas (meaning a married, middle-aged woman) from your favorite Kdrama shows.

But in The Uncanny Counter, Hye-ran can hold her own and manages to kick the butts of the evil spirits. Chu Mae-ok is the motherly figure in the group. True enough, she can heal the wounds of her colleagues.

Hye-ran also stars in a number of Kdramas, especially on Netflix. You may remember her as Song Hye-kyo's loyal ally in The Glory. Or you may have seen her avenging her murdered son in the recently released Mask Girl.

Whichever show you remember her from, Hye-ran proves she's great at what she does.

Upon the request of the Counters, those in the Yung gave in and looked for a fifth member to join in the second season. Although it took a while to look for this member, they finally found one in Yoo In-soo's Na Jeok-bong's character.

In The Uncanny Counter, In-soo stars as a naive country boy with a kind heart. While getting used to the ropes, he discovers that he can sniff out the evil spirits within a certain radius.

In-soo's character in the show is far from the other roles he has played in the past. Most remember him being the main villain in the Korean zombie series All Of Us Are Dead. But he also starred as a comic troublemaker in The Good Bad Mother, alongside Lee Do Hyun.

Kim Hieora as Gelly Choi

After consuming the soul of a Chinese Counter, Gelly gains super speed and the ability to read and erase memories. She's also a callous evil spirit with a strong appetite for revenge.

This isn't Hieora's first walk in the park as a villain. She played a drug addict and bully in The Glory. But in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, she guested as a loving mother.
