A lot of hype surrounds James Gunn's "soft reboot" of The Suicide Squad and now, DC fans are once again getting a huge treat courtesy of the squad themselves as the highly anticipated DC Extended Universe film just unveiled the first official image featuring all 15 members of the notorious Task Force X.

Empire Magazine shared the stunning cover image for their upcoming issue on Instagram which will be out on October 29th. The image unites the film's cast such as Margot Robbie, John Cena, Idris Alba, Michael Rooker Joel Kinnaman, and Jai Courtney, among others. The squad photo offers us a better look at the characters and their live-action costumes. A variant cover will also be available featuring the cast members with director James Gunn. Check it out here:

Judging by the stuff we saw from the film's first preview trailer, there's little doubt that Gunn has breathed new life into the franchise which drew a ton of flack and criticism back in 2016. What makes his version of The Suicide Squad exciting is the fact that Warner Bros. didn't meddle with his overall vision and you know very well what the Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker is capable of pulling off when he has all the creative control. Expect The Suicide Squad to be nothing short of spectacular.

James Gunn's The Suicide Squad is slated for release in 2021.
