The Suicide Squad Spin-Off Working Title, Production Start Date Revealed

We're still several months away from the premiere of The Suicide Squad but it looks like the planned spin-off series that would focus on Peacemaker is already moving forward. A new report reveals the project's working title and possible production start date.

According to The Ronin, Peacemaker is already set to shoot under the working title The Scriptures. Amazingly, the project is expected to begin filming from January 18 until June 15.

This is great news considering that fans are hoping to see the HBO Max show as soon as possible. However, it is still important to point out that production could still be delayed due to COVID-19. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

It has already been confirmed that John Cena will return in the series as Peacemaker. He will be joined by The Suicide Squad co-star Steve Agee who will reprise his role as John Economos, the warden of the Belle Reve penitentiary.

Gunn has also been confirmed to write all eight episodes of Peacemaker and is expected to direct some of these episodes. For now, there are no other names attached to the project but with production starting soon, there's a huge chance we'll be getting more updates before the end of the year.

Peacemaker has not yet been given an official release date. In the meantime, The Suicide Squad is scheduled for release on August 6, 2021.
