The Suicide Squad Has Found Its King Shark In Guardians Of The Galaxy 2's Steve Agee

It looks like James Gunn has found the perfect King Shark for The Suicide Squad and he didn't even have to search too far to find him. A new report confirms that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star Steve Agee has been cast as the DC supervillain.

The report comes from Deadline, which reveals that the comedian will provide the voice of Nanaue in the DC Extended Universe flick. It was not revealed whether Agee will also play the character through performance capture but there is a huge chance that a different actor will take care of that.

Agee has previously worked with Gunn on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 where he played the Ravager named Gef. He's the one who called Baby Groot an "adorable little plant" and asked permission from Taserface to smash Groot with a rock. However, he was told to put Groot in a Ravager suit.

We're certainly glad that King Shark is officially joining The Suicide Squad. It was previously reported that another Guardians of the Galaxy star is being considered for the role but Michael Rooker quickly denied the rumors. Nevertheless, we're not giving up on hopes that Rooker will make an appearance in Gunn's upcoming film.

The Suicide Squad will bring back Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, and Jai Courtney. The film also stars Idris Elba, David Dastmalchian, Daniela Melchior, and Flula Borg. It is scheduled for release on August 6, 2021.
