The Russo Brother might not direct another movie for Marvel due to the ongoing lawsuit between Scarlett Johansson and Disney over the Black Widow movie.
Due to how Black Widow was released and the lawsuit (and also how Scarlet Johansson was paid as a result), Disney and the Russo Brothers have reportedly "hit an impasse" in their negotiations for their MCU return as reported by The Wall Street Journal.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the Black Widow lawsuit has both of the directors questioning how a new MCU movie from them would be released and how they are going to be paid for it. There are currently no details that were revealed about what their next MCU project would have been, but the Russo Brothers have been interested to do a Secret Wars movie.
After the release of the Black Widow movie, Scarlett Johansson's legal team announced that it will be suing Disney over a contract breach for the actress after her solo MCU film was released at the same time on Disney Plus. Johnson's contract reportedly assured her that the film would only be released in theaters.
Scarlett Johansson was reportedly contracted to get paid based on the box office numbers of the Black Widow movie. In theory, the numbers weren't as high as they could have been due to the same-day release of the Black Widow movie on Disney Plus as a Premiere Access title.

Some sources familiar to the Black Widow lawsuit say that the move to streaming cost Scarlett Johansson more than $50 million.
Since Scarlet Johansson's legal team announced that it will be suing Disney, the fallout between the MCU's parent company and the actress has played out publicly, with Disney stating that it believes Johansson's lawsuit has "no merit whatsoever."
Black Widow is currently streaming in Disney+ Premier Access.
