The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 is almost here and Kadokawa wants to make sure people are hyped up for the premiere. A new trailer and key visual for the upcoming second season have just been revealed!
The new trailer for The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 is the third one for the anime's return which has been delayed. Although the series was originally scheduled to premiere in October last year, the second season has been pushed back to an April 2022 premiere. The delay could be the reason why the anime received another trailer to hype fans up.
In addition to the third trailer, a new key visual for The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 has been dropped. The poster features Naofumi Iwatani bearing the Legendary Shield as he is flanked by his companions. Check it out below.
The Rising of the Shield Hero is based on the isekai light novel series written by Aneko Yusagi. The story follows Naofumi Iwatani, a young man who finds a book in the library that takes him to another world where he inadvertently becomes one of the Four Cardinal Heroes. Given the Legendary Shield, Naofumi is eager to go on a grand adventure but is betrayed and loses all his money, dignity, and respect. Unable to trust anyone anymore, he employs a slave named Raphtalia and takes on the Waves and the world.
The first season of the anime aired in 2019 and was immediately confirmed for a second season. Although the series was set to return in 2021, it was pushed back to a later release date in April 2022. Luckily, the wait for The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 is almost over.
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 will premiere on April 6, 2022.
