A new ITVX documentary, The Real Crown: Inside the House of Windsor, may shake the royal family and the monarchy itself to its very core with its revelations about the members of the Firm.

From shocking claims and insights to how the royal family really operates, the public is about to know more. So, here are the three shocking revelations the new documentary is about to spill.

The Importance of Prince William Over Prince Harry

On a list by Express, it noted that the late Queen Elizabeth II let Prince Harry go to war, but not his older brother, Prince William, because his death was deemed "more acceptable" than the heir to the throne.

The risk of letting the Prince of Wales on the frontline during the 2001 Afghanistan war was seen as "too great." This thing was said to be discussed by the monarch and General Sir Mike Jackson, former British Army head, and was disclosed in the documentary.

"She was very clear. She said, 'My grandsons have taken my shilling; therefore, they must do their duty.' And that was that," Jackson stated. "But it was decided that William was heir to the heir; the risk is too great. But for his younger brother, the risk was acceptable."

British Forces Foundation Mark Cann seconded the claim, adding that Prince William was keen to go but was stopped due to his role as the future king.

Prince Andrew's Overconfidence Resulted in Controversial Newsnight Interview

An insider revealed that due to Prince Andrew's overconfidence, he ended up doing a Newsnight interview, which has proven to be controversial.

In the discussion, the Duke of York defended his friendship with the criminal sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Tory peer Lord Patten revealed that the military veteran's decision to hold an interview sparked a huge public backlash, resulting in Queen Elizabeth striping off his military honors, royal patronages, and use of his HRH title.

"He thought he was capable of getting away with some answer which inevitably turns around and hits him over the head," he said. "It says he's not plugged into the same reality as the rest of us."

Princess Anne's Reaction to Her Kidnapper

Prince Anne was kidnapped in 1974, and it fortunately failed. Her former bodyguard Jim Beaton detailed the horrific event in the documentary, and Princess Royal had the most relaxed reaction to her kidnapper.

The then-23-year-old princess was returning to Buckingham Palace from a charity event with her then-husband, Captain Mark Phillips. A car overtook their vehicle and forced them to stop.

Its driver, Ian Ball, got out of the car holding two handguns and went to the royal limousine. He shot Princess Anne's bodyguard in the shoulder and tried to get her, to which she said, "Not bloody likely."

Thankfully, the boxer Ronnie Russell was passing by and punched Ball in the head. The police then found a £2 million ransom addressed to Queen Elizabeth, two pairs of handcuffs, and valium tranquilizers.
