The Penguin is set after the events of The Batman, and it's only right for the HBO series to start setting things up for the Dark Knight's next adventure. In this case, the recent episode may have just teased Robin's debut.

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for The Penguin, so proceed with caution.

Of all the blink-and-you'll-miss-it references, the one in The Penguin episode 2 is a hard one to ignore.

As Colin Farrell's Oz Cobb (formerly Oswald Cobblepot) lurked through the streets of Gotham City's massive drug empire, specifically in the Robbinsville neighborhood, a particular code name caught the eye of DC fans.

While Matt Reeves already cast his live-action Caped Crusader, Robert Pattinson, The Penguin may be building up to introduce Batman's sidekick, Robin, soon enough.

This comes from the fact that the Penguin is literally in Robbinsville and could in fact show some form of connection as to how the young Dick Grayson gets discovered to use the moniker Robin.

DC fans, on the other hand, have a different take on the premiere of the first two episodes of The Penguin so far.

In this case, they're speculating that Victor (played by Rhenzy Feliz) might be the Robin we've been waiting to get on Bruce Wayne's side.

Recently, Feliz admitted he was looking forward to hopefully playing the live-action Miles Morales from Sony's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse franchise.

That, however, remains to be seen, considering that he has already committed to the DCU first. Then again, who's to say he can't juggle both roles?

As of writing, nothing has been confirmed yet whether The Penguin or The Batman Part II plans on having Robin come on board.

It is worth mentioning that Reeves himself said, "Interesting. Um, no," and that even though it was a "cool idea", it "wasn't the intention" behind The Batman at the time. Stay tuned for more updates on this story, though!
