The New Mutants Director Says No Reshoots Were Ever Shot

The New Mutants is finally coming out after being delayed for a few years and fans are pumped to see this horror-flavored superhero movie, promising to give us something unique. Many of us thought that the movie was a victim of those dreaded reshoots and we don't mean the regular ones that are mandatory; we mean the "change the whole movie like Justice League" kind of reshoots.

Well, thanks to an interview director Josh Boone had with Entertainment Weekly, we now know that no reshoots were ever taken. This is something fans have been debating about since a number of the movie's actors said they were waiting for these reshoots but since it's been a few years, it's clear that's not going to happen. Some might have been concerned about this but the director has previously stated what he shot is closer to his original vision.

"Everybody said we did reshoots! We've never done reshoots. And I'll tell you this: if there hadn't been a merger, I'm sure we would've done reshoots the same way every movie does pickups. We didn't even do that because by the time the merger was done and everything was settled, everybody's older."

Hopefully, Boone's is as enthralling as the trailers have made us believe since this could be a really good superhero movie. Mixing up the standard comic book movie with horror elements isn't something that's always done so this has a lot of potential to be a show-stealer. Let's hope it lives up to our expectations.

The New Mutants will be coming out on April 3.
