During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live Thursday, Welch didn’t mince words when asked about her son Healy’s short-lived romance with Swift and the pop star’s 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department, which is believed to include several nods to The 1975 frontman.
“Obviously, on pain of death can I talk about that episode, but not being her mother-in-law is a role that I am glad that I lost,” she said that made the audience gasp.
