I think we can all agree that it feels like forever since we last saw The Mandalorian in action but thankfully, we're only a few months away from his triumphant return, at least that's what the latest release reports are saying. Season 3 promises to be the hit Star Wars show's biggest season yet, with Din Djarin and Bo-Katan Kryze squaring off to determine which between them is the rightful warrior to sit atop the Mandalorian throne.

Recently, new details about Season 3 finally came to light and now, a new rumor suggests that we'll see one character undergo some serious changes in their appearance. According to a scoop from Star Wars News Net, the show's main antagonist Moff Gideon will be sporting a drastic new look in the third season. In fact, the outlet claims that the villain, played by Giancarlo Esposito will ditch his usual armor for a look that resembles a Mandalorian warrior and a black helmet with red eyes.

Intriguingly, the helmet's design will reportedly be a cross between Boba Fett's helmet with six horns resembling Darth Maul's menacing look. Moreover, it will be "black, shiny, and very sleek."

Just when you thought Moff Gideon would be reduced into an afterthought come Season 3, with Bo-Katan seemingly being poised to take his place as the show's main baddie, it looks like the cunning and notorious villain is out to exact revenge on Din for taking the darksaber from him and pretty much embarrassing him during their duel.

Hopefully, Lucasfilm will give us our first glimpse at his new armor soon because I'm definitely excited to see this Mando meets Maul look.

The Mandalorian's third season will reportedly hit Disney+ on February 22, 2023.
