The Mandalorian Cast Shares Opinion About Gina Carano

The Mandalorian cast Pedro Pascal, Giancarlo Esposito, Carl Weathers, Ming-Na Wen, Omid Abtahi, and Gina Carano were all seen by fans return for the second season. The series became a massive hit but one of the cast members has been at the center of controversy.

Carano, who plays Cara Dune, has been the target of cancel culture. The actress has different political views, and stances on some current issues, which she has been very vocal about. She explained that she is open to discussion and at times, offered kind words in her tweets.

Despite voicing her opinions over a couple of weeks ago, the actress is still under fire on social. The actress has stayed silent with the relentless attacks. Unfortunately, the ‘cancel culture' didn't stop there.

Due to Carano's controversies, it might be easier to assume that her castmates will stay away and stay silent. However, they didn't. In their own way, they have spoken out about Carano on their own social media accounts.

Pedro Pascal, who headlines the hit Disney+ series showed his support to the actress. On November 25, 2020, Pascal shared a piece of art that features him as Mando and Carano as Cara Dune, hugging each in the series. In the caption, the actor says, "Friendship. #ThisIsThWay."

Ming-Na Wen, who plays the role of Fennec Shand, also spoke sweet words for Carano. After The Book of Boba Fett was announced, the actress was elated and shared the news on social media. Carano congratulated Wen in a tweet.

Wen replied, thanking Carano, and expressing that Wen loves her friend. Wen added that she is happy that The Mandalorian not only get her into the Star Wars but also brought Carano into her life. It was obvious that this response showed how Wen cherishes Carano, despite all the bashing the latter has been receiving.

Another cast member, Carl Weathers, shared his gratefulness to be able to work alongside Carano. He added that Carano is making her way through a ‘very demanding' industry as an ‘artist and craftsperson'. He said, "She's making her way through a very demanding industry as an artist and craftsperson. And she's hitting so many of the right notes. Nothing but upside awaiting her!"

Disney has not yet commented on Carano's situation but the reactions and statements of some cast members to the actress reveal that she has a good working relationship with them.

That said, The Mandalorian Season 3 is expected to be released in December 2021.
