The Last of Us Star Shares Encouraging News For Season 2 Renewal


The Last of Us Season 1 has been no short of a hit on HBO. In fact, on its premiere night, the streaming site crashed due to the amount of viewers highly anticipating the first episode this January. The show even instantly became No. 2 on HBO with 4.7 million viewers from The Last of Us Episode 1, following the Game of Thrones spinoff, House of the Dragon, premiere with 9.986 million.

Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie in the show, has recently spoken with BBC about the possibility of The Last of Us Season 2. While showrunners Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin have already laid out their Season 2 plans for the show ahead of its release, the question lies if HBO even plans on renewing The Last of Us. The former Game of Thrones actor shares encouraging news for a potential Season 2 renewal. Check out Ramsey’s full quote below:

“If people keep watching, I think [a second season] is pretty likely,” Ramsey said, “It’s down to the guys at HBO. There’s nothing confirmed yet so we’ll have to wait and see.”
