Showrunners Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin have proven themselves in being the best duo to have adapted the Naughty Dog video game into HBO’s The Last of Us series. Not only has the series gained popularity since its premiere episode, but the streaming site has greenlit a The Last of Us Season 2 ahead of Season 1’s ending. Seeing as the show co-creators are sticking quite closely to the game, there is no doubt that The Last of Us Season 2 is heading the same direction as The Last of Us Part II.
Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie in the HBO series, has recently spoken with the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz on a couple of things she’s quite excited about filming for The Last of Us Season 2. One of these things happens to be the lesbian love story Ellie is eventually going to encounter in the game. Check out Ramsey’s full quote below:
“I’m really excited to be honest for the Ellie-Dina story.” Ramsey said, “I’ve watched a cut together, someone’s made a phenomenal — I don’t know how they do it — like an amazing edit of just like the gameplay, like Ellie and Dina’s love story. So I’m excited to play that out.”
