The Last King of Osten Ard Book 3 Release Date

The Last King of Osten Ard Book 3, known as The Navigator's Children, will hit our shelves on the 5th of October 2021. We're still a few months away from publication, but at least it's going to happen within the year while giving us just enough time to revisit The Witchwood Crown and Empire of Grass, the previous 2 books of the trilogy, or even the trilogy that preceded The Last King of Osten Ard, known as Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn.

The Last King of Osten Ard Book 3 Characters

The Last King of Osten Ard is a sequel to Williams' 1988-1993 trilogy, Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn. As such, the author revisits some important characters from the original trilogy, but not without also introducing new ones.

The novels feature several points of view characters, both protagonists and antagonists, a system not unlike George R. R. Martins A Song of Ice and Fire.

The characters who appear in Tad Williams' latest trilogy – and thus in Navigator's Children, include King Simon and Queen Miriamele thirty years into their marriage. Among the new characters are Prince Morgan, Simon, and Miriamele's heir. The story additionally focuses on the twin children of Prince Josua and Lady Vorzheva, about whom there has been much speculation since the release of book 3 of the original trilogy.

The Last King of Osten Ard Book 3 Plot

As The Last King of Osten Ard is the last book of the trilogy, it will most likely tackle any loose ends from The Witchwood Crown and Empire of Grass. Although the book is going to be released in the near future there is currently no synopsis on Goodreads and Amazon, but we will update with more information as soon as a synopsis becomes available.

The Last King of Osten Ard Book 3 News

Sad that The Last King of Osten Ard is coming to an end? Tad Williams is finishing up his next project Brothers of The Wind. This will be a prequel set a thousand years prior to the events of The Dragonbone Chair. It will follow Hakatri and Ineluki in their quest to kill the dragon Hidohebhi. This is going to be released on the 2nd of November 2021.
