Based on the webtoon of the same name, the series depicts the story of Pontifex Rembrary, who suddenly finds himself in the body of a Kpop idol member. In this new world, he struggles to live as an idol member while looking for a way to return to the Other World.

The Heavenly Idol Episode 12 sees Kim Min Kyu discovering the painful truth about the deity that he has been worshiping all his life. After returning to Woo Yeon Woo’s world, Rembrary discovered that Redrin has turned humans into goblins using celebrities who have been members of the Hongwoodaedae.
Yeomra made a deal with Rembrary and told him everything she knows about the powers that were given to him. She clarified that his powers were not ordinary and that he could use them to fight against Redrin. Redrin actually used a portion of her soul to create Rembrary, which technically makes her the Pontifex's mother.

Yeomra advised Rembrary that he has to separate his powers from his body in order to win against Redrin. However, Rembrary was aware that if he did so, he would forget everything that happened, especially his relationship with Kim Dal. He refused to do such nonsense and tried to think of other ways to stop Redrin’s madness.
On the other hand, Rembrary discovered that his alter ego in the real world is Ardor, a human from his world. This means that the Woo Yeon Woo that Kim Dal has liked ever since was an impostor, and he was just a pawn in ruining Rembrary’s image.

Kim Min Kyu ends the darkness in The Heavenly Idol Episode 12
As Rembrary had expected, Redrin kidnapped him when he was pretending to be Woo Yeon Woo. Redrin expressed his anger in front of him, which only made Rembrary so sure that his deity was determined to get rid of him.
After a while, Redrin realized that the person in front of her was Rembrary. She did not hesitate to attack him, unleashing her madness towards the Pontifex.
On the other hand, Kim Dal approached Gam Jae and tried to give Rembrary the upper hand. Gam Jae comes to Rembrary’s rescue, while Kim Dal is left in Redrin’s room to look for the missing afterlife artifact. She sold her soul to the afterlife in order to help Rembrary, as they discovered that Redrin’s powers came from the souls of her victims who had made a deal with Hongwoodaedae.

Furthermore, Redrin eliminated the Evil One. When Rembrary returned to face her, she stabbed him and thought that she would now rule both realms. However, as her powers came from people who believed in her, taking Rembrary and the Evil One’s lives completely took away all her abilities.
Yeomra and Gam Jae saved Rembrary from traveling to the afterlife and said that he must continue living as Woo Yeon Woo. Rembrary must help them completely eliminate the black magic that the Evil One has spread in the real world.
The Heavenly Idol Episode 12 also highlights Rembrary who has lived as a member of Wild Animal. During a scheduled shoot, he reunited with Kim Dal. At first, they weren’t aware of each other’s existence; however, when Rembrary touched her hand to try and cure her injury, both of their memories returned. Kim Dal said the same thing when she first saw Rembrary in the past, “You’re not Yeon Woo,” which hinted that the love between them would start again.
