While the previous episode of The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! ended on a cliffhanger, it turns out we're not exactly getting the fight we were hoping for. Although, we finally get some answers on who the mysterious light entity is and the reason behind the destruction of the Demon Realm.
The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! Episode 19 Recap
Druj and Jahy prepare to fight the mysterious light entity, but Druj enters a state of nostalgia before the fight. She reminisces about how she hated her power, but Jahy made her realize her potential greatness. While reflecting and sharing her feelings with Jahy, the mysterious light entity had already run away.
While working at the pub, the boss decides to let Jahy try food preparations in the kitchen. The boss and Kyouko praise her for her cooking, noting that Jahy can open up her own place as well. This becomes a lightbulb moment for Jahy, and she starts making preparations to open her own pub. She informs Druj about it, who is willing to help out. She also asked the landlord to be her taste-tester, but she refused.
While Jahy is walking to the pub, the boss sees her and asks if she's really opening up her own pub. Jahy confirms this, and she's surprised to see that the boss isn't mad. The boss says that while she may be sad to see Jahy go, she wants to support her either way because she's like family to her. The mysterious light entity suddenly appears behind her and asks if she wants power. The boss says yes because she wants to help Jahy, so she becomes a magical girl. However, things don't go well for the light entity when the boss scolds her for commanding her to take the mana crystals.
The light entity gets fed up and transforms, looking like the Demon Lord. She almost attacks Jahy, but the Demon Lord quickly shows up and blocks the attack. The light entity and the Demon Lord turn into giant versions of themselves and begin fighting. Kyouko and Jahy use their powers to protect the city. It turns out that the light entity is Su, the Demon Lord's younger sister. She wanted to get her sister's attention after she holed herself up in the Demon Realm. Jahy is furious after discovering that all that happened to her is because of a conflict between siblings.
