Helmed by Ahn Gil Ho of Rooftop Prince, Stranger, Memories of the Alhambra, Record of Youth and Happiness, the director teamed up with the renowned screenwriter Kim Eun Sook, who is the genius behind Lovers in Paris, The Heirs, Goblin, and The King: Eternal Monarch.

Interestingly, Kim Eun Sook is also reunited with Song Hye Kyo as the screenwriter was the person behind the 2016 K-drama Descendants of the Sun.

Six years after the romance series wrapped up, the duo will work together, giving viewers a top-notch K-drama.

After the drama was officially announced, fans are looking forward to the team-up and chemistry among the cast members.

The Glory K-drama is Rated as 18+

Various outlets noted that The Glory will be rated as 18+ due to 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗴𝘀, risk of graphic imitations that is not suitable to young audiences.

Following the update, viewers expressed their thoughts and predictions about the series.

Others claimed that The Glory might air some triggering scene that includes the high use of medications since one of the characters works as a doctor.

Meanwhile, some pointed out that Song Hye Kyo’s new drama is a revenge series, so most probably it will feature a lot of violence.

The Glory Release Date

Finally, the long wait is over as The Glory release date is set on December 30.

The upcoming revenge K-drama will exclusively air via Netflix, which means global viewers would be able to watch the eight-part episode series.

Apart from Song Hye Kyo, The Glory featured an interesting cast lineup. For the lead stars, Lee Do Hyun will play the role of Joo Yeo Jun. He is someone who exhibits a cheerful aura but is hiding a complicated secret.

On the other hand, Im Ji Yeon took the role of Park Yeon Jin, who used to be a schoolmate of Moon Dong Eun. She is the reason why Dong Eun wanted to seek revenge.

In addition, The Uncanny Counter star Yeom Hye Ran, as well as Park Sung Hoon, and Jeong Seong II also join as lead stars.

Meanwhile, Song Hye Kyo is set to portray the revenge-driven Moon Dong Eun. She was a victim of school violence that forced her to drop out of school and give up her dream to become an architect.
