The Arrowverse has grown over the years, with its various shows featuring multiple DC Comic characters. While it's always exciting to see the return of some fan-favorite characters, it could be a bit tricky to balance screentime, given that it should still be focused on the lead character. This is what The Flash actor Robbie Amell thinks as well, pointing out that bringing back former guest stars for cameos is challenging, given an already crowded character roster.

"I would always go back to The Flash," Amell told ComicBook.com. "With that, it's a little more difficult because it's not fair to not be there, and then come in and try and be you know a main character."

The actor points out that it's always "fun" to be able to come in and do a cameo for a show. However, Amell thinks the Arrowverse already has "so many" characters that "are due their time" that he wouldn't be the type of guy to just come in and "steal" the focus away from the others.

As fans may already know, Amell plays Ronnie Raymond in The Flash. Ronnie was thought to be dead after the particle accelerator explosion, only to be revealed that he merged with Dr. Martin Stein. However, he had to make a sacrifice to stop the Singularity from destroying the whole city.

Knowing his fate, it would certainly be a surprise for Amell to reprise his role and return to the Arrowverse. It would also be a big event that fans ought to look out for if it'll happen. "I love all those people," the actor added. "It would be great to work with Danielle some more and Grant, and that whole cast." Given that the Arrowverse had the Crisis on Infinite Earths event bring back many characters, it wouldn't be impossible for Ronnie to make his return.

The Flash, "Success is Assured," airs on May 12 on The CW.
