The Flash: Michael Shannon Gets Honest About His Experience Working with Ezra Miller

Next month, The Flash will finally arrive in theaters after years of tedious development and production. DC fans have been looking forward to seeing the film not only because it's the speedster's solo movie, but it will also mark the return of Michael Keaton as Batman.

However, its lead star Ezra Miller has also been involved in several controversies in the months leading up to the release due to various legal issues and accusations. They eventually released an apology statement where they promised that they'll seek mental health treatment for their issues.

So far, we haven't heard any stories about whether Miller also exhibited the same behavior during the filming of the movie and the people involved in the film have only been singing praises for the actor.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Michael Shannon, who is set to reprise the role of General Zod in The Flash, was asked about his experience working with Miller on the set of the film.

The Oscar-nominated actor mentioned that he is aware of the issues regarding the actor from reading the news.

"But I hear there’s been some—I’ve gotta admit, I’m not looking at the trades every morning, keeping my finger on the pulse of things, but I know there’s been some issues. It seems like they’re ready to let it out," he said.

However, while acknowledging that the issues are "difficult to talk about," Shannon shared that he had a great time working with Miller and called his experience with the actor "lovely."

"If you’re talking about Ezra [Miller], I thought Ezra was lovely—very kind to me when I was there," the actor said.

"It’s difficult to talk about, but I always give people a lot of slack in this business, because there’s a lot of people in this business that have issues. And some people have more privacy than others."

Shannon also added, "Any time somebody is out in the spotlight getting picked on, I feel for them. Even if it’s warranted, it’s still a horrible situation."

Whatever you think of Miller based on their controversies, you can't blame Shannon for praising the actor since it is solely based on his experience working with him. It sounds like Miller exhibited professional behavior on the set of the movie if we take Shannon's word.

It is hard to tell right now whether the public will be affected by the coverage of the actor's off-set behavior. All we know is that Warner Bros. is eager to give it a big global theatrical release and the film's early responses from the CinemaCon screening have also been glowing.
