The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Allegedly Introducing the Thunderbolts

There have been some rumors recently that Marvel is planning to introduce the villains-turned-heroes team—The Thunderbolts—to the MCU soon. We haven't gotten any official updates yet, but a new rumor is coming out on where we're actually going to meet the team.

As per insider Daniel Richtman (via cosmic on Twitter), the Thunderbolts will be introduced in the upcoming Disney+ series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. We should take this news with a grain of salt, but granted what the show is going to be about, it would make sense for the team to be introduced there.

For one, I imagine the government is going to be one of the main antagonists of the series, and it's possible that Thunderbolt Ross is going to want a super-team of his own—no matter what the cost. Besides that, we know that Zemo is going to be making a comeback in the show, and Zemo had been connected with the Thunderbolts before.

Who I really want to see in the Thunderbolts are past villains in the MCU who never really got their time to shine. I would be up to see Abomination again, but what about the Leader or Justin Hammer? A lot of people don't like Iron Man 2, but I really enjoyed Sam Rockwell's Tony Stark wannabe.

If you ask me, the Thunderbolts can probably pull off their own film, like Suicide Squad did; but knowing Marvel has more finesse with delivery, maybe they can make a more memorable villains-turned-heroes movie.

Catch The Falcon and The Winter Soldier when it hits Disney+ this fall.
