The Doll Factory is a six-part series that’s based on a novel of the same name by Elizabeth Macneal. It follows Iris, who paints dolls for a living. Who Is Rose in The Doll Factory?
Rose is the twin sister of Iris who works alongside her in the doll shop. Rose and Iris have a broken relationship, and executive producer Anna Burns said that it’s “simmering with underlying resentment and unspoken feelings.”
Burns also said, “Over the course of the series, we unpack what drove a wedge between the once-close twins. The question of whether they will manage to reunite is at the very heart of the story.”

Who Plays Rose in The Doll Factory?
Rose in The Doll Factory is played by Scottish actress Mirren Mack. Mack was exposed to the theatre at a young age, as her father is an actor while her mother is a drama tutor. She took up classes in acting and performed on stage at a young age.
The actress made her television debut in Netflix’s Sex Education. She played Florence Simmons, a student at Moordale who was selected to play Juliet in the school play “Romeo & Juliet”, written by Lily.
Mack then had her first leading role in the BBC series The Next, where she played an 18-year-old named Kaya.
The actress then played Princess Merwyn in The Witcher prequel, The Witcher: Blood Origin. Of all the roles she played, she considers Merwyn the most challenging one. She also told Digital Spy that she would love to reprise her role again and come back to the Witcher universe.
When asked about her character Rose in The Doll Factory, Mack told Wonderland Magazine:
“I think what drew me most was the difficult relationship between Rose and her twin sister, Iris. The two have this incredible bond of sisterhood and love, but also built-up resentment, fear and dependency warps their relationship and it was so brilliant to play with that push/pull love/hate dynamic.”
