It's been more than 10 years since the late comedian passed away, and yet his legacy continues to live on, as people today still rewatch or discover his work. However, the rise of AI has also paved the way for fans to make AI-generated content regarding Williams, whether it's to celebrate him or use it for malicious intent.

In a recent Instagram Story (via The Hollywood Reporter), Williams addressed the AI videos of her late father, Robin, that are currently spreading around the internet.

She pleaded with fans to stop sending her the AI-generated videos of Robin and spoke out against the dangers of AI, as it uses the image of her late father without her consent.

"Stop believing I wanna see it or that I’ll understand, I don’t and I won’t,” she wrote. “If you’re just trying to troll me, I’ve seen way worse, I’ll restrict and move on," she wrote in her post.

"But please, if you’ve got any decency, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop. It’s dumb, it’s a waste of time and energy, and believe me, it’s NOT what he’d want."

Williams added, "To watch the legacies of real people be condensed down to ‘this vaguely looks and sounds like them so that’s enough’, just so other people can churn out horrible TikTok slop puppeteering them is maddening."

"You’re not making art, you’re making disgusting, over-processed hotdogs out of the lives of human beings, out of the history of art and music, and then shoving them down someone else’s throat hoping they’ll give you a little thumbs up and like it. Gross."

How is Zelda Williams Planning to Fight Against AI Videos of Robin Williams?

So far, Williams has not shared any plans for a potential legal course of action to fight against the AI-generated videos of her late father.

However, she has been consistently speaking out against the rise of AI in Hollywood in the last few years and will continue to condemn AI videos that use the image of her father.

She wrote in a follow-up post, "And for the love of EVERY THING, stop calling it ‘the future,’ AI is just badly recycling and regurgitating the past to be re-consumed. You are taking in the Human Centipede of content, and from the very very end of the line, all while the folks at the front laugh and laugh, consume and consume."
