The Detective Is Already Dead will be an interesting, mysterious addition to the Summer 2021 anime season. Also known as Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru, it's based on a light novel series of the same name.
In this project by Studio ENGI, we follow Kimizuka Kimihiko, a very unlucky main character who gets caught up in situations he shouldn't. When he accidentally witnesses a drug deal, while on a plane, his flight goes into a state of emergency and a detective is needed. A silver-haired, Siesta, proclaims herself a detective and makes Kimizuka help her solve the case.
Since then, Kimizuka embarked on many missions with Siesta, preventing countless crises, but all this ended abruptly when Siesta died. Following this tragedy, Kimizuka retires from his detective days and resolves to lead a normal life as a student. But when a girl with an uncanny resemblance to Siesta comes into his life, this resolution will once again be threatened.
