Kimizuka has figured out that Yui was lying concerning her sapphire heirloom, and it turns out he's correct. Yui removes her eyepatch to reveal that she was born blind from one eye, so her parents got her a sapphire prosthetic. Now that her parents are dead, she thinks she can't go on without it, as it was their gift to her.
Since Yui doesn't move as a person with limited peripheral vision, Kimizuka understands that Yui's sapphire eye is in fact a highly advanced prosthetic that sees through materials, including her eyepatch. As she turned out, enemies of Kimizuka - presumably the ones behind Siesta's death - threatened her, telling her they would take her eye unless she got Kimizuka killed.
Kimizuka and Nagisa conclude that all Yui wants are people to care about her, so they forgive her for almost getting them killed and befriend them. The post-credit scene reveals that Siesta had another assistant beside Kimizuka; a girl called Char. The two didn't get along, but Siesta urged them to cooperate, as their strengths complemented each other. Kimizuka reveals that this was the day Siesta died.
