Excitement is brewing amongst fans for the debut of Zoe Kravitz's Catwoman in Matt Reeves' The Batman. We've seen a who's who of actresses — from Michelle Pfeiffer to Halle Berry take on the Catwoman mantle in the past, each with their unique spin to the character so it'd be really interesting to see what the actress brings to the table. Now, a former Catwoman actress herself is giving Zoe a little piece of advice on how to attack the iconic comic book role.

The Dark Knight Rises star Anne Hathaway recently did an interview with Collider where she said nothing but kind words to the 31-year-old. Anne even went as far as saying that Zoe is the perfect candidate to be the new Selina Kyle. Here's what she had to say: "If I had any advice it would be literally don't listen to anybody because I think the only way to play that role is to give your version of it. All of us had different directors and all of our interpretations were specific to the films that they were in, kind of like my Grand High Witch is specific to Bob Zemeckis and Angelica Huston's is specific to Nicolas Roeg's, and that's great! And all the Jokers were specific to each director they have, and so I don't think you can get too bogged down with the comparison. And especially when you're not the one doing it because your job is to give yours. And I'm so excited to see what she does with it. I thought she was the perfect choice."

Personally, I think that Michelle Pfeiffer's astonishing performance in 1992's BatmanReturns has yet to be matched or even topped but judging by the stuff we saw from the film's trailer, it's looking quite evident that Zoe just might be a formidable challenger to take the throne from Pfeiffer. I'm not gonna lie, out of all the actresses we've gotten so far, I believe she looks the closest to her comic book counterpart but of course, I still have to reserve my judgment after seeing her actual performance in the film. Taking nothing away from Anne Hathaway, however, I thought she was a pretty convincing Catwoman as well but I wouldn't exactly call her portrayal iconic or memorable as she was clearly overshadowed by Tom Hardy's Bane.
