The Boys is known for lampooning current events and tropes in today's superhero movies whether it's the characters being inspired by some of the popular comic book characters or scenes that are parodies of situations that happened in movies or fan theories. Now, it looks like the series is bringing a character from the comics that is inspired by a real-life iconic.

Variety has reported that Stranger Things star Paul Reiser has joined the cast of the third season of The Boys. He will be playing The Legend, a character from the comics who is a parody version of the late Stan Lee. He is set to make his first appearance in this week's episode titled, "The Last Time To Look On This World Of Lies," the fifth episode of the season.

It is exciting to see what Reiser will do in the series and how The Legend intertwines with the plot. It's also unclear yet if the character is in the present day or will appear through flashbacks of his younger years considering that the character is based on a real-life person that already passed away.

There are also theories going around that The Legend might also be partly inspired by Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, who is also behind the creation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the case of The Boys, The Legend could be the creator of the Vought Cinematic Universe which would be their way of lampooning the MCU. Either way, Reiser is a great addition to the cast and we can't wait to see his first appearance in this week's episode.
