The Boys: Gen V Releases Blood-Soaked First Trailer

Amazon has released the much-awaited first trailer for the upcoming The Boys college-set spinoff series Gen V. The preview was revealed during their recent panel at Comic-Con Experience 2022 in Brazil where fans were surprisingly treated with the first look on the show.

Based on the preview that they showed, just like the parent series, it looks like Gen V didn't mince in their R-rated tone as they showed a lot of blood-soaked and violent scenes that remind you that it is indeed part of The Boys universe.

In addition, they revealed that The Boys characters A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie), and Adam Bourke (P.J. Byrne) are confirmed to make appearances in the series. Clancy Brown, Jason Ritter, and Alexander Calvert are also revealed as part of the cast.

While the trailer didn't give us any clue about what the story is all about and how it places in The Boys universe, they did suggest that the series is going to be as wild and bonkers as the parent series and there is no doubt based on the scenes that they showed that it is all part of the same universe. It is interesting to see how it will all connect to the parent series in its entirety.

Set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (run by Vought International), the series explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the school’s top ranking.

The main cast includes Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi.

Michele Fazekas, Tara Butters, Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Craig Rosenberg, Zak Schwartz, Erica Rosbe, and Michaela Starr serve as the executive producers of the spinoff series.
