The Boys College Spinoff Will Have Cameos from Characters in the Main Series

As The Boys is continuing to shock the audience in the ongoing third season, it has also started production on its college-set spinoff series titled The Boys Presents: Varsity. While we know that it's going to be as raunchy and R-rated as the main series, most of the specific plot details are under wraps as of the moment. Now, an interesting piece of information has emerged regarding its connection to the main series.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke was asked if the spinoff series will include appearances of characters from the main series to which he revealed that it is indeed going to include cameos from established characters in The Boys although he didn't specifically say which.

"Yeah," Kripke responded. "Without spoiling anything, I think there will be several very, very cool cameos. Because it's a Vought-run college, so crossover with Vought characters is inevitable, really."

Since they are both set in the same universe, it's not really surprising to learn that the spinoff will have cameo appearances from the main series, but it still exciting to hear confirmation about it nonetheless. Now, all we need to do is speculate on which characters we might see show up in the spinoff.

Given that the college is owned by Vought International, an easy guess is that someone like Ashley Barrett will be the one who will show up for a cameo to oversee its operations since she is at the top management of the company. We could also see someone from the Seven make a cameo as well. Whoever it is, it's already exciting that we can anticipate that someone from the main series will show up at some point in the series.

The Varsity spinoff is described as "an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive superheroes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It's part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys."
