The Book of Boba Fett Star Tried To Cut Down His Dialogue While Jon Favreau Was Away

After the debut of The Book of Boba Fett series on Disney+ back in December, the show was met with mostly positive reviews from critics, earning a score of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, some viewers have been a little more mixed on the series, earning the series a 60% audience score. There’s a lot to enjoy and love in the series ranging from a lot of exciting cameos and character reveals to theories about the future. However, some fans of the series have complained that Boba Fett talks too much on the show, and they’re not the only one who thinks so. The actor playing Boba Fett, Temuera Morrison, revealed in one of his recent interview with NME that he tried to reduce his lines while the creator, Jon Favreau, was out of town.

"'I've got all these paragraphs here! I think we should get rid of it,'" Morrison remembered saying it to a crew member."'And Jon's gone to Atlanta, so don't tell him!' Next morning on set, I get a call from Atlanta: 'Uh, Jon wants you to say all that dialogue.'"

There are currently three more episodes left for The Book of Boba Fett, and Morrison previously teased that the show will have an exciting finale, which will be released on Disney+ on February 9. In one of their joint interview with The Hollywood Reporter, co-star Ming-Na Wen (Fennec Shand) stopped Morrison from spoiling too much about “Chapter 7” ahead of its release. "Yes, full of surprises. The Book of Boba 'full of surprises' series," Morrison said. "Yeah, we've got some good stuff coming up. Ooh, wait till episode seven, wow!"

The Book of Boba Fett is a spinoff series from The Mandalorian. The story follows Boba Fett and Fennec Shand as they fight for control of Jabba the Hutt’s criminal empire on Tatooine. Showrunners Morrison and Wen tease come amid the rumored return of a well-known Star Wars character, but the actors aren’t saying anything much about it. Although in another interview with TVLine, the stars teased that there are more exciting characters coming to the show.

"Oh, yeah. We're not allowed to mention too much about these incoming actors, but yeah, we look forward to it," Morrison answered when he was asked if the audience should be on the watch for upcoming villains. "That's just the beginning. There's some colorful chaps coming in to upset the works and that's a part of this wonderful series, too, the introduction of all these elements that come in all shapes and all kinds."
