Just when fans thought Taron Eagerton was part of the Netflix adaptation of The Sandman, the Welsh actor wasn’t seen in the series.
Deadline reported he was attached to the adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman, though it didn’t clear if it were the Netflix series or the audiobook version.
Indeed, he was part of the fantasy series, but the audiobook, where he played the role of John Constantine, and not the TV series.
The audiobook series was first out in July 2020, followed by the second batch of stories in September 2021, per HITC.
It also featured Andy Serkis, Michael Sheen, James McAvoy, Paterson Joseph and more. None of these stars were seen in the TV adaptation too.
Instead, Jenna Coleman played the role of Johanna Constantine, John Constantine’s great-great-great grandmother, in Netflix’s The Sandman.
