The Walking Dead universe had been expanding since its release back in 2010. Due to the show's undeniable success, the network has ordered multiple installments and spinoffs to date. The latest spinoff series, Tales of The Walking Dead, has finally been green-lighted by AMC.
Variety reported that Tales of The Walking Dead has been in writing since 2020, and AMC already has plans for its production. The show will also feature old and new casts and be a launching pad for crossovers between the other TheWalking Dead spin-off, including Fear The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond.

What Can You Expect From Tales Of The Walking Dead?
First and foremost, the imminent Tales of The Walking Dead spin-off will be headed by The Walking Dead writer and producer Channing Powell. He will also be joined by Scott M. Gimple, the chief content officer of The Walking Dead universe.
The pair believes that Tales of The Walking Dead will give them a chance to have artistic freedom, providing them with a platform for some rich storytelling. AMC Network president of original programming Dan McDermott also agreed, saying:
Tales of The Walking Dead will highlight a lot of the characters' backstories as well as stand-alone stories.
When Is The Release Date For Tales Of The Walking Dead?
There is no announcement made yet regarding the official release date of Tales of The Walking Dead. What is know, so far, is that the show will be aired sometime in 2022 on AMC.
The network has yet to announce the cast members as well. But fans are hoping to see some familiar faces in the imminent Tales of The Walking Dead.
