While the first episode may not have been as exciting, the second episode of takt op. Destiny finally gave off a promising start to the series. We get a flashback on the life of Takt, Cosette, and Anna before the timeline of the premiere episode. We get to learn about the history of these three and their tragic past.
takt op. Destiny follows Takt, Anna, and Cosette (Destiny), who are living in a world where music has been considered taboo since it attracts destructive monsters called D2. The three of them aim to go to New York and also bring music back.
Takt Op. Destiny Episode 2 Recap
A peek into Takt's childhood shows us that his father was once a well-revered conductor. Unfortunately, an attack by the D2 has taken away his life. Takt now spends his days holed up inside his house, regularly playing the piano and doing nothing else. Anna and Cosette, whose parents knew Takt's father, drop by often to keep an eye on Takt. Cosette never fails to clean up Takt's music room since it's filled with trash all the time. She also expresses often that she loves listening to Takt's piano playing.
In August 2047, the Symphonica festival is performing in their town. This is a significant event since they're allowed to play music here. Cosette tells Takt that he should perform, but he initially isn't confident since Anna and Cosette are the only ones who have heard him play. He isn't sure that other people want to listen to his music – Cosette reassures him that other people want to hear him perform. Eventually, Takt learns that Cosette knows how to play the piano as well.
On the day of the festival, Cosette decides to surprise Takt by taking away his grand piano and bringing it to the event. Anna is unsure if Takt is going to come and perform. Cosette expresses her faith in Takt, confidently saying that he will arrive. He arrives late, and the two of them perform the piano together. The large crowd watching enjoys their performance, earning Takt and Cosette loud rounds of applause.
Unfortunately, the D2 suddenly attack. Takt has injured his arm, and Cosette is gravely wounded. While she is in what seems to be her final moments, Takt goes through a sudden burst of emotion and tells Cosette that it shouldn't end here. Her necklace begins to light up, transforming the two of them into a Conductor and a Musicart.
