There is little doubt that the announcement of Thor: Love and Thunder had one of the most unexpected twists at San Diego Comic-Con. Nevertheless, people are loving the idea of Natalie Portman's Jane Foster finally being introduced as the new Thor. Unfortunately, some aren't really happy about it but director Taika Waititi isn't having any of your hate.
Waititi has always been a delightful presence on social media but he's taking things up a notch whenever people say anything negative about his upcoming project. For instance, someone responded to Marvel writer Jason Aaron's tweet, claiming that they are disappointed about the Love and Thunder announcement. Naturally, Waititi stepped in with a hilarious response of his own.
That's not the only negative reaction to Thor 4 that Waititi has answered to, either. The Jojo Rabbit director actually took some time to respond to criticism on Twitter.
It was confirmed that Waititi will direct Love and Thunder, which will introduce Jane Foster as the new Thor as well as Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie as the King of Asgard. Chris Hemsworth will return as well but we're not sure what role he'll be playing anymore. Hopefully, we'll get to see Waititi reprise his role as Korg in Thor 4.
Thor: Love and Thunder is one of the films in Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 4 along with Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali.
