Kim Shin Rok might star in another Netflix series, this time in Sweet Home season 2.

The 41-year-old actress is rumored to join Song Kang, Lee Se Young and more as one of the cast members of the post-apocalyptic K-drama.

Kim Shin Rok to Star in Sweet Home Season 2

According to Star News, an industry representative revealed that Kim Shin Rok was courted to join the Sweet Home season 2 cast and currently reviewing her role.

However, her possible character has not been disclosed, but it will surely show her versatility as an actress.

To recall, the 41-year-old actress recently gained the public's attention after portraying the character of Park Jung Ja in Netflix's Hellbound, which stars Yoo Ah In, Kim Hyun Joo, Yang Ik Jun, Won Jin Ah and more.

In the dark fantasy thriller series, Kim Shin Rok's character plays a doting mother of two children who has seen a premonition of her death. Dubbed as the sinner by the religious group The New Truth, her death was publicized in return for the safety and future of her children.

Sweet Home 2 Cast and Everything We Know So Far

First released in 2020, Sweet Home immediately became one of K-contents smash hit series which stars Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Do Hyun and more.


Based on the webtoon of the same name and helmed by Descendants of the Sun, Goblin and Mr. Sunshine director Lee Eung Bok, the Netflix series follows the story of Cha Hyun Soo, who moved to Green Home Mansion Apartment after his family's accident.

The residents were caught up in a strange incident and tried to survive the chaotic situation after people started turning into monsters.

In October 2021, media outlet JTBC reported that Sweet Home would return for season two with original casts Lee Si Young and Park Gyu Young, but Netflix set the record straight and cleared that "nothing has been decided yet," according to TopStarNews.

Despite no official statement from the streaming giant, Song Kang's agency Namoo Actors shared to an outlet, confirming that the actor has been offered to reprise his role.

"It is true that we are in discussions about it, but nothing has been confirmed yet."

Aside from Nevertheless star, B1A4's Jinyoung and It's Okay to Not Be Okay star Oh Jung Se are also rumored to join the Sweet Home 2 cast.
