Supernatural Star Joins Crisis On Infinite Earths As Brandon Routh's Replacement

The CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths has just added a Supernatural star to its ever-growing cast and it looks like he is set for an even bigger role after the upcoming Arrowverse crossover event. Will Osric Chau eventually serve as Brandon Routh's replacement in Legends of Tomorrow?

The news was confirmed by TV Insider where it was revealed that Chau has been cast as Ryan Choi in Crisis on Infinite Earths. Interestingly, the report states that the Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency star is set for a recurring role in the crossover event.

Comic book fans are well aware that Ryan Choi would eventually take over Ray Palmer as the Atom. So is it possible that the same thing will happen in The CW shows? There are speculations that Chau's casting could extend to the main cast billing in Legends of Tomorrow now that Routh has confirmed that he is leaving the series. Although it has not yet been confirmed whether Chau will be joining Legends just yet, we're hoping that there will be more good news after Crisis on Infinite Earths airs on The CW.

Crisis on Infinite Earths is already filled with some major players including Tom Welling, who will reprise his role as Superman, as well as Kevin Conroy, who is playing Bruce Wayne in the crossover event. The most recent addition to the cast has been Smallville actress Erica Durance, who is returning as Lois Lane.
