The upcoming spinoff series Suits: L.A. is set to premiere soon. Fortunately for fans, a cast member from the original series is slated to return.
While the new series will focus on new characters and location, it will bring back fans to the familiar world of the hit legal drama which experienced a resurgence in the last few years.
Which OG Cast Member is Returning in Suits: L.A.?
NBC recently released a new 30-second teaser promo for Suits L.A. ahead of its premiere this February 23.
They also gave fans a brief glimpse at the return of Gabriel Macht as Harvey Specter, who is seen in one of the photos.
It was revealed that Harvey Specter and Stephen Amell's character Ted Black know each other, setting up the spinoff's connection to the original series.
Macht's return as Harvey Specter in Suits L.A. was already confirmed months ago in an official report.
The original Suits cast member will have a recurring role in the show's first season. He is slated to appear in three episodes.
While Macht is not set to return to the world of Suits full-time, it is still exciting for fans that they are seeing Harvey Specter again and it is interesting to see how his appearance will affect Ted Black's journey in the series.
Will We See Other OG Cast Members Return in Suits: L.A.?
So far, Macht remains the only original cast member who is confirmed to return in Suits: L.A., but his comeback has paved the way for the possibility.
Patrick J. Adams, who plays Mike Ross, has addressed his potential return in the spinoff series. Fortunately, he is open to the possibility if the opportunity presents itself.
"I’m happy that I’ve had the experience, happy that I now have the chance to unpack it a little bit, happy that the fans are getting another version of Suits," he said.
"And if one day, they ask anyone else to come along and if it feels like the right fit, then maybe we do it. But truthfully, I’m more than happy to keep that character exactly where he is. I think it ended in a perfect place."
