Stranger Things Season 5 may be the series’ final season, but the Duffer Brothers revealed there were still a lot of “more exciting stories to tell” within its fictional world.

There will be “new mysteries, adventures, and unexpected heroes.” “But first, we hope you stay with us as we finish this tale,” they said via Deadline.

They also told the publication that their major goal with the fifth season is “to stick the landing” with the final 20 minutes they had already mapped out.

They earlier teased that it made the Netflix executives cry when they pitched the finale.

“Characters are already going to be in action, they’re already going to have a goal and a drive, and I think that’s going to carve out at least a couple hours and make this season feel really different,” Matt Duffer stated. “I’m sure the wrap-up will be a lot longer. It’s going to be ‘Return of the King’-ish with, like, eight endings.”
