Stranger Things’ Fan-Favorite Character Is Getting His Own Prequel

After becoming a breakout fan-favorite character of Stranger Things Season 4, despite his uncertain return for the season finale, Eddie Munson will be getting his own prequel story!

Joseph Quinn’s performance of the edgy Eddie was one of the best things to happen in the fourth season of Stranger Things.

He immediately made himself fit to be in Hawkins, as well as being beloved by fans, so introducing his story is not far-fetched at all.

In fact, fans have been expecting more content about Eddie since his appearance in the Netflix series. Not to mention, speculating he will be returning one way or another in the finale.

Flight of Icarus is set in 1984, two years before Stranger Things Season 4 happened. According to the official plot synopsis, Eddie will meet a record producer named Paige, who gives his band, Corroded Coffin, the chance to perform.

“Just one problem: Recording costs money. Money Eddie doesn’t have.” In dire need of a solution to achieving his dreams, this drives Eddie to get entangled in his dad’s latest shady scheme.

“I’m so excited for fans to go with [Eddie] on his journey towards becoming a hero,” Schneiderhan said, “To experience the messy and uncomfortable decisions that led him to become the brave misfit we all know and love. Eddie, this is for you!”

Caitlin Schneiderhan’s Stranger Things: Flight of Icarus will hit the shelves on October 31.

Stranger Things Season 5 has no confirmed release date yet, but is reportedly expected to premiere sometime in 2024.
