Stephen Amell Teases Oliver Queen's Fate In Arrow Final Season


It has truly been a long journey but Arrow Season 8 is set to be the last season for the CW series. But what will happen to Oliver Queen in the final season? Stephen Amell has teased on the possibility that his character getting a satisfying conclusion on the show.

Amell recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about how the series should conclude and he certainly seems OK with Oliver being killed off in the eighth season.

"Because he's a superhero with no superpowers, I always felt he should die — but he may also not die," Amell said.

Well, that's a non-answer if I ever saw one. On the other hand, Amell did admit that he got very emotional when series co-creator Marc Guggenheim told him about Oliver's final moment on the show.

"I cried as [Guggenheim] was telling me [Oliver's final scene]. There are a lot of hurdles to get over to make that final scene," he said.

So will Oliver die in Arrow Season 8? The Monitor has already predicted the hero's demise so we know it's going to happen. The big question right now is, how will Oliver die in the final season?

For now, fans can rest assured that the cast and crew of Arrow are determined to deliver one more season where Oliver's storyline can be closed off in a satisfying manner. We'll also get to see some previously dead characters (Tommy Merlyn is expected to return) so it's going to be an emotional final chapter.

Arrow Season 8 will premiere on The CW on October 15.
