There is little doubt that Arrow Season 8 gave Oliver Queen a satisfying end. But was there anything that the final season needed? Stephen Amell admitted that he would have wanted Oliver to reunite with a special character who was part of the CW series right from the start.
Amell recently attended C2E2 2020 in Chicago where he was asked about his thoughts on the final season (via Comicbook.com). Interestingly, the Crisis on Infinite Earths star confessed that there were a few co-stars that he had wanted to share a scene with in the finale.
"I would have liked a scene with Colin Salmon who played Walter Steele. I would have liked to have had a moment with Katrina [Law] who played Nyssa. How long do we have?" Amell said.
It's no surprise that Amell mentioned Walter, who played a small but important role in the first few seasons of Arrow. Although he was initially a friend of Robert Queen, Walter later married Robert's wife and became Oliver's stepfather. Walter was one of Oliver's greatest supporters and a reunion between the two would have been fitting.
On the other hand, Law's Nyssa did show up in the final episode of Arrow Season 8. Unfortunately, the character did not have any interactions with Oliver. Their reunion would have been an awesome scene considering that the two are still considered married by the League of Assassins. Although there was no reunion, Nyssa mentioned their marriage in the finale.
Which character do you think should have been brought back in the Arrow Season 8 finale? Sound off in the comments below.
