We all have questions about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker but the most important one could be this: Will it be better than the other films in the sequel trilogy? Anthony Daniels might have the answer and he's trying to raise fan expectations. The actor who plays C-3PO has just stated that Episode IX is "one of the best" in the entire Skywalker Saga.
Daniels recently spoke to The Star Wars Show about The Rise of Skywalker and he has nothing but praise for the highly anticipated film and its director J.J. Abrams.
"By happenstance, one of the best films is going to be Rise of Skywalker that I have adored working on," Daniels said. "I believe, the bits I've seen, knowing what happened on the set, knowing what J.J.'s like with his huge brain, huge intellect, huge spark, his childish joy in the whole thing, that's gonna make this film for me the one to end on."
This sounds exactly like what we're all hoping to hear about the movie. So was Daniels sorry that it would be the last Star Wars film that he would ever work on? He's surprisingly cheerful about it and believes it is the best way to conclude the Skywalker Saga.
"I think it's good when a story comes to an end," Daniels said. "Let's stop here, because we had a great time."
It looks like things are going to end permanently for Threepio. The final trailer for The Rise of Skywalker featured the droid dropping a haunting line about taking a last look at his friends. Hopefully, it will be a conclusion worthy of a character that has survived nine different movies.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20.
