Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Final Sequence Was Planned Early On

It seems like the world couldn't get enough of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker now that another teaser has been released. But how will it all end? Director J.J. Abrams has teased about the final scene in the highly anticipated scene, saying it is one of the first things that was planned for Episode IX.

Abrams recently spoke to MTV during the D23 Expo 2019 where he was asked if he has already planned the last shot of the movie. Interestingly, the Star Wars: The Force Awakens director revealed that the final scene has already been planned.

"If I had not decided on that, I'd be in real trouble," Abrams said. "But, it was a very early on thing, and it's less the last shot of the movie than the last sequence, but it's something that I… hope you like."

There are no clues yet as to what will happen in the last few minutes of The Rise of Skywalker. But if we are to believe Kevin Smith, it's going to be mind-blowing.

This isn't the first time that the final scene of The Rise of Skywalker has been hyped up. Smith had previously spoken about the sequence although he was not able to see it. According to the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot director, crew members tried to get him to watch the scene but Abrams forbade it. Either way, it sounds like a sequence that will be worth all the wait.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will premiere on December 20.
