Lucasfilm has released the digitally remastered trailer of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in celebration of the film's 25th anniversary.

This year, the first film in the Star Wars prequel trilogy is celebrating the silver anniversary of its monumental release in 1999. Despite the polarizing reception in its initial release, it has gained a strong following throughout the years as some fans have defended it.

It was recently re-released in theaters earlier this month where it had an impressive box office performance despite being widely available in home video and streaming.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Digitally Remastered Trailer Unveiled

The digitally remastered version of the first Star Wars: The Phantom Menace trailer was recently released on the official Star Wars social media accounts and YouTube channel.

Fans will be able to relieve the magic of the Star Wars movie that created new generations of fans 25 years ago and still had an impact on the franchise throughout the years.

In his recent post on X, filmmaker LeAndre Thomas shared that he and his editing team had to scan the trailer from the original 35mm negative in order to remaster the entire footage in 4K resolution since it was shot on film.

Whether you are a fan of the film or not, there is no doubt that this trailer reignited the imagination of fans back when it was released and it made them excited to watch a new Star Wars movie on the big screen.

It showed all the elements that people love about Star Wars in a span of two minutes and the remastered version retained that magic with clearer images.

Recently, it was reported that The Phantom Menace is now the most-watched Star Wars movie on Disney+ worldwide which just shows that it still has a long-lasting impact and will always have a special place for many fans.
