Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season One Finale Gets Rare Perfect Score on Rotten Tomatoes


Star Wars might not be having the easiest time right now with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker suffering from mixed to negative reviews from critics, but it seems like the finale to the franchise's first-ever Star Wars live-action series is enjoying some pretty great reviews online.

Lucasfilm aired the final episode to the first season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian last Friday and it looks like "Chapter Eight: Redemption" is enjoying a perfect rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The season finale for the first batch of episodes for The Mandalorian currently has a 100% Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, proving just how well Jon Favreau's created the series. According to the critics consensus of the episode "The Mandalorian concludes with whiz-bang action and a heartening does of ‘Redemption' while teasing tantalizing new adventures to come."

Of course, the perfect score for "Chapter Eight: Redemption" shouldn't really come as a surprise to fans. The Mandalorian has been a hit with critics for the entire season – all of the episodes to Jon Favreau's Star Was live-action series have been enjoying "Fresh" ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. Like "Redemption," the series' penultimate episode, "Chapter Seven: The Reckoning," also earned a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Critics aren't the only ones who've been loving The Mandalorian. Fans have fallen in love with the series as well, gushing endlessly over Baby Yoda. It's lovely seeing fans and critics unite over one Star Wars series. It's a nice change of pace seeing how everyone's been divided over Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
