Lucasfilm might have just completed the first season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian, however, fans are eager to get whatever information they can on the next batch of episodes of Jon Favreau's Star Wars space Western series.
Now, it seems like there might be a possibility of seeing a Star Wars: Battlefront II character making its way into the second season of The Mandalorian.
A Star Wars fan just recently found a cast list for The Mandalorian Season 2 that included a picture of Battlefront II voice actress Janina Gavankar. The actress and musician took on the lead role for the game's campaign, playing the role of Iden Versio, a female soldier who had once served in the military of the Galactic Empire.
Taking a screenshot of the cast list, this Star Wars fan decided to share the information to Gavankar, who told the follower that he/she would have to ask The Mandalorian episode director Dave Filoni whether or not it were true that she'd be in the second season of the series.
For those who haven't really played Battlefront II and need some background on Versio, the character was once a TIE-Fighter pilot in the Imperial Starfighter Corps, and then she was promoted to become the commander of the Inferno Squad, a Special Forces commando unit in the Imperial army. Eventually, Versio defected to the Rebellion and joined the New Republic.
Though we can't really be sure whether or not The Mandalorian's next batch of episodes will include Iden, we'd certainly like to see the former soldier make her way into the series. The character has a great narrative, and it would be lovely to see her make a cameo or two in The Mandalorian.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 doesn't have a release date yet, but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
